Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance Summit is underway in Islamabad with participation of Youth Affairs Ministers from 12 member-countries of the British Commonwealth.

Hosted by Pakistan Prime Minister’s Youth Program, the summit is focusing on issues pertaining to youth empowerment, skill development, and education.

A video message from Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland was also played in the opening session, in which she acknowledged Pakistan’s progress in youth development and its significant contributions to the Commonwealth community.
On this occasion, PMYP launched a new quarterly magazine, Spark, highlighting the achievements and stories of young Pakistanis. On Wednesday, the summit is featuring several sessions focusing on boosting connections among youth in different countries. Discussions will also be held on creating employment opportunities for youth and promoting entrepreneurship.
